Didn’t even make it to the date part….

His profile and pictures looked good. He emailed me first and we emailed back and forth a few times. He seemed very smart and creative–a graphic designer. He sent me links to his website and told me to take a look. I gave him my number and said we should chat.
Over the course of a week, a very busy one for me, he called three times. I finally got to call him back and explained that it had been an insane week and I had no access to personal email from work, otherwise I would have emailed him. We chatted on the phone for about 30 minutes, he seemed nice and normal.
Then he says something like, “So you took yourself off Jdate?” And I responded that I let my subscription run out (I had told him to email me at my personal address). He then proceeded to tell me that he had several Jdate horror stories. I asked him to elaborate, but he was vauge. He alluded to a date he had last week and said he walked right past the girl. I told him that many of my guy friends say that girls post pictures of them from a long time ago when they were much thinner and they tend to look very different in person. I said something like, “Although looks aren’t everything, they are important,” trying to make him feel a bit better. He then says “On that note, I have to tell you I am very bruised and cannot handle meeting anyone right now. It has been nice speaking to you, and I hope you don’t think I’ve wasted your time. I am just not ready right now.”
What a freak!! Why did he call me three times and talk with me for a half an hour?
